30th June- Temperature taking exercise

*Those with haircut problems please do rectify

Next monday in holidays again and while you are missing out on lessons for consecutive mondays, it will be good to catch up on work that could have been done.

For EL, we are embarking on our quest to do class debates! Read up on the guidebook and watch the videos tagged in google classroom to come to class prepared. We look forward to exciting and interesting debates.

Best regards,
Ms Chua

EL/ Chem AA

Hi S3-06,

I hope you are already starting on your EL/ Chem AA. Some clarification to make and to ensure you remember when you are doing your research proposal, do use the template given by your Chemistry teacher because that is a clearer breakdown of what we require in the different segments.

You can look at the EL doc for rubrics but the template may only be a rough outline of the proposal.

After your submission of the first draft for your Chemistry teacher, I will be checking your document regularly too and we expect 50% to be completed by T2Wk1.

Do stagger your project over the holidays so that you don't feel burnt out by the time school starts again.

Best regards,
Ms Chua

EDUSAVE Withdrawal Parent's Acknowledgement Form

Dear S3-06,

I have passed around your Edusave form. Please get it signed and return it. For now, Shuhui is the temporary person you can submit the forms to.

If you haven't received the forms, please collect from my locker or come to me on Friday next week.

Best regards,
Ms Chua

Welcome back!

Dear S3-06,

Welcome back! It's 2017!!!

Since it's the first post of the year, I will keep it short. And I would also now invite all of the subject reps (temporary or permanent) to start posting on the blog. You can post:

1. homework reminders
2. deadlines for project work
3. something to share from class
4. announcements

or anything related to the class (please be responsible in posting(s)).

I will start first since I'm sending you off to OBS so early in the year.

1. Not to bring your homework to OBS (although there are loads to be done)
2. Have an open-mind to accept new challenges/ do something that you have not done before
3. Keep safety as the priority regardless of what you do
4. Lookout for each other
5. Don't be shy to take on roles (leadership) when with your peers (you may be surprised by your capabilities)

Last but not least, do enjoy yourself!

I will leave you with an article to ponder about leadership (for everyone) as we do understand that within a group, it may sometimes be conflicting to have more.
